It is a non-laser high intensity light used to treat conditions such as: uneven skin pigmentation (freckling), sun damage, melasma from pregnancy, fine wrinkles, and skin changes related to aging. Dr. Pagette uses the Elite MPX system and with the first treatment Dr. Pagette evaluates the patient to decide upon the treatment settings and filter to be used. A cooling system is incorporated with the wand so that the treatment is not uncomfortable. One usually notices some improvement in the skin after the first treatment, but often 3-5 treatments are needed to give the best effect depending upon which condition is being treated.

Smart Liposuction is a technique used to remove unwanted fat in areas of your body under local anesthetic. One’s BMI ( Body Mass Index (BMI) must be 27 or less. Dr. Pagette performs this with a trained staff using a state of the art Cynosure Smartlipo Triplex™ laser machine. It emits three wavelengths of light. You would be given a medication orally to make you drowsy and an antibiotic to prevent infection. Then you would be escorted to the in office operating suite. There you are prepared, and small incisions are made in the skin. Then a fluid with anesthetic and other medicine is injected under the skin. The laser is then used to melt the unwanted fat. Then the laser is used at a superficial layer to stimulate collagen, which later tightens the skin. Then small cannulae are used to remove the melted fat, and the wounds are closed.  One needs to have someone drive him or her home. Dr. Pagette uses a Thermaguide and Thermochoice along with the laser for added safety.

Laser hair reduction is a process by which a laser beam of light is used to safely destroy hair follicles. It can therefore lessen hair in parts of the body in which a person doesn’t want hair. Our laser is a Cynosure Elite MPX, and it is a Medical Grade IV laser. This makes a huge difference, as it is more effective and safer. Also Dr. Pagette and her staff have been trained and certified to perform this. We recommend 6 treatments, and then one generally needs a touch up treatment about once per year for new hair growth.
